Thank you for your interest in the SFWWL. We are excited about the new fiscal year 2023 - 2024! The Pandemic created a lot of change for the Women’s League and our board processes. Post-pandemic, the Women’s League has been focused on getting the board and our members back to attending in-person activities, updating our website and communications, and recruiting new board members. The board has set new goals for this fiscal year, and we are well positioned to have an impactful year for our community.

For over 58 years the St. Francis Wood Women’s League has had two primary purposes, fostering a sense of community for the neighborhood through organized activities, and fundraising for our parks to ensure they maintain their beauty and enjoyment for the neighborhood. We plan to focus this year on three main areas: Activities/Fundraising, Membership recruitment, and Parks projects. We will kick off our new year in September with our Annual Fall coffee. This is a treasured event where League members come together to unite our community and enjoy each other’s company. The activities will continue throughout the year with many of our long-standing traditions and add new events. We will focus on League membership recruitment, and we will partner with the HOA on new and existing parks projects.

We encourage you to get involved, update your membership, attend events, and volunteer with the board on special projects/events. It’s our collective involvement that continues to foster the community spirit and is the key to what makes this neighborhood so special.

All residents of St. Francis Wood are welcome and encouraged to join the St. Francis Wood Women’s League. We have long-standing members and new members who participate and give back to the community in a variety of ways. For those of you who are not members yet but are interested in learning more, I encourage you to join our league and to reach out to the board to get involved.
